Saint Expedites Unofficial* Feast Day is April 19

We perform an annual 9-day Novena for Saint Expedite’s Feast day. Everyone who has made a donation during the year will be mentioned in the daily prelude to the prayers. Thank you everyone for your faithful support. The next annual feast day Novena will begin April 11, 2012.

The first time I placed light yellow roses in the water that had been an offering beside the photo: these roses lasted 2 weeks before they faded !!! How are you all? Just a quick note, the very famous Saint Philomena was ALSO removed from the list of "Officially Venerated" Saints (despite being duly canonized by Pope Gregory XVII in 1837, which is an infallible act) in 1961, same time as Saint Expeditus. The Holy See made clear, however, that the removal of these Saint's names from the Liturgical Calendars DOES NOT MEAN NOR IMPLY THAT THEY ARE NOT GENUINE SAINTS. It is simply because the church wanted to honor more saints about whom we have more detailed authenticated Life-Histories. Philomena's history was based on three separate visions in the 1800s. That's little to go on, but we HAVE her BODY, her (recently fully-authenticated) tomb and blood - blood which still turns to jewels, by the way, etc., and she STILL powerfully answers requests made for her intercession. Saint Expeditus, too, is still officially a Saint, just not on the official LITURGICAL CALENDAR. One thing: it is never proper to honor a pagan Roman Deity like Mercury. She does not have a job at this point in time but soon will have one. She has been working since she was 16, now at 25, she is at a crisis point in her life that she needs help with, she is in a custody battle through no fault of her own and I am trying to help her.
